6" high X 6" dia.
This piece happened when I rushed to take a phone call from somebody I was expecting to call me, and the piece absorbed
more water than it should while "resting" on the wheel. When I attempted to finish the throwing it collapsed in an
interesting shape. I managed to save it and added handles later. The finger marks on the inside were really
enhanced by the "Vanna White" glaze on the inside. This piece was wood fired with a thin Shino glaze and some salt/soda
thrown into the kiln. I suppose it is in the general family of Japanese water jars for use in the tea ceremony.
